Today

Life is too short to waste today.
Life is too short to not give it my best shot today.
Life is too short to not relish today.
... all day, each day, every day.

  1. Today is the "day" we have!!!
    That's what matters most...
We human, actually loose out to give the best in "today"in order to do give the best tomorrow.

    1. True, Mousumi, we lose our todays by ruminating over our lost yesterdays and procrastinating our best for tomorrow.

  2. While I appreciate the sentiment, and the valuable message of not wasting one's time, everyone has some or many days in their lifetime so far that are quite unrelishable.

    1. Rama Ji, I agree with you about there being some or many of those unrelishable days in our lives. I certainly have had a lot of them. True Sthitaprajnya people (such as Sri Rama or Sri Krishna) relished those horrible days of their lives with ease and dignity. Of course, we haven't reached those levels of Sthitaprajnya yet but we can strive to take small baby steps in that direction. I think the best thing about unrelishable days is that they give us that opportunity. We just our best shot on those days. Our best shot on those days may be poor in comparison to a more advanced person; it may not even be a PR, but that's alright. At the end of those days, we can relish in the fact that by gave our best shot, learnt some lessons, and moved one small step closer in our alignment with the Purushottama.
