Hrudayara Ehi Sunyata Ku (Cover)

This is a song that I was inspired to sing today. It is one of my most favorite Odia songs. The song is from the Odia movie Samar-Salim-Simon, which I believe was released in 1979. The song was originally sung by Shekhar Ghosh.

For those unfamiliar with the Odia language, here is my translation of the lyrics:

To the emptiness in my heart,
I asked today, "Who is the cause of your suffering?"
And an echo came, "You, you, you."

You crossed into the borders of my mind so easily,
But I have failed to take a single step away from your memories.
I still don't understand why
In my silence, I kiss the pain of our separation.

To the emptiness in my heart,
I asked today, "Who is the cause of your suffering?"
And an echo came, "You, you, you."

O, how emotional were we at one point of time!
I silently laugh thinking about it.
I was foolish to attempt building a home out of fog
Unsurprisingly, those tall walls of love (made out fog) disappeared one day.

To the emptiness in my heart,
I asked today, "Who is the cause of your suffering?"
And an echo came, "You, you, you."
