Na Muh Chuppa Ke Jiyo

I love to sing while I am driving. Today while driving with my friend Rama, I remembered some beautiful Mahendra Kapoor songs that I had not sung in years. One of those songs was Na Muh Chuppa Ke Jiyo from the 1967 movie Humraaz (Composer: Ravi; Lyricist: Sahir Ludhianvi). I absolutely love the inspiring lyrics of this song. After reaching home, I sang and recorded the song. For my readers who do not know enough Hindi, I also did a crude translation of the song. Hope you like the song.

Translation of Na Muh Chuppa Ke Jiyo

Don't live your life hiding your face, and don't live your life holding your head low (as opposed to holding your head high)
Even when tough times come, live your life with a smile

Hidden clouds don't destroy the stars
(So) during the dark nights, burn lamps inside your heart
Don't live your life hiding your face, and don't live your life holding your head low....

Who knows which moment will be owned by death
(So) live your life by embracing the happiness existing in every moment
Don't live your life hiding your face, and don't live your life holding your head low....

This life cannot stop after a particular destination
From every position, live your life by taking a step forward
Don't live your life hiding your face, and don't live your life holding your head low....
